Premiership Player- Chris Robshaw – leads of the Year list
England and Harlequins commander Chris Robshaw has been designated for the Premiership Player of the Year prize.
The England flanker is one of three back row frontwards to make the choose of six, beside Leicester’s Julian Salvi and Exeter’s James Scaysbrook.
Robshaw’s Quins team-mate, Mike Brown, and England colleague, Brad Barritt of Saracens, are also designated.
Gloucester prop Nick Wood completes the list for the award, with the champion to be announced on 8 May.
Robshaw will be eager to follow in the footpath of member England flanker Tom Wood, who won the 2011 award for his performances for Northampton Saints.
The England skipper has led Harlequins to the top of the Premiership with one round of the usual season to play, while Brown has been a reliable threat from full-back for the Londoners this period.
Brown is the only performer on the list to have also been designated for the ERC European Player of the Year award.
Australian flanker Salvi has noticeable his first period for the Tigers with five tries and constant performances, while Chiefs back row Scaysbrook has helped Exeter reinforce a place in the top half of the table.
South Africa-born centre Barritt has seen his form at Saracens satisfied with addition in England’s Six Nations movement.
And Wood’s proposal comes in spite of him being ruled out for the period in March following surgery for a pectoral damage.
